The Dunspaugh-Dalton Foundation was created in 1963 by the will of Ann V. Dalton as an independent foundation and was named after William Dunspaugh, Howard V. Dalton and Ann V. Dalton. The first trustees were William A. Lane, Sr. (President), Monsignor William Barry and Eugene T. Erb.
Recent former trustees were William A. Lane, Jr., President, 1964-2005, and Thomas H. Wakefield 1979-2003.
The current trustees are Sarah Lane Bonner (President), who has served as trustee since 1972; Alexina H. Lane (Vice President), who has served as trustee since 2006; and Leslie W. Buchanan (Secretary-Treasurer), who has serves as trustee since 2004.
